CORVALLIS, Ore. –
The following eight Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the McDonald's Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, for their performances during competition from April 20 – 26, 2026.
Baseball – Player
Eastern Oregon University’s Jace Nagler was named the CCC Baseball Player of the Week.
Nagler, a junior shortstop from Bend, Ore., had an outstanding performance on the field for the Mounites. He recorded a .619 batting average and a 1.095 slugging percentage with 13 hits including four doubles and two homeruns. He also added 11 RBIs and nine runs while earning a .679 on base percentage. Defensively he held a .914 fielding percentage to cap off the terrific outing.
Baseball – Pitcher
Bushnell University’s DJ Kauahi was named the CCC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Kauahi, a freshman from Nanakuli, Hawaii, delivered a standout performance for the Beacons, leading to a 3-1 upset over (RV) University of British Columbia. He allowed just seven hits and one run while finishing the complete game, totaling 114 pitches with a 1.00 ERA.
Softball – Player
No. 6-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Brooke Nordahl was named the CCC Softball Player of the Week.
Nordahl, a junior infielder from Valley Springs, Calif., had a terrific weekend on the field as SOU swept Warner Pacific University to complete the regular season. She recorded a .600 batting average and a .933 slugging percentage with nine hits including three doubles and a triple. She also added 10 RBIs and five runs while earning a .625 on base percentage. Defensively she was perfect in the field to round out her stellar outing.
Softball – Pitcher
Simpson University’s Jacquelyn Lujan was named the CCC Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Lujan, a junior from Newman, Calif., had a fantastic weekend in the circle for the Red Hawks against (RV) College of Idaho. She struck out 13 batters without allowing a run, giving up just five hits and not walking a batter across nine innings for a perfect ERA and a 0.56 WHIP.
Men’s Outdoor Track & Field – Track Athlete
University of British Columbia’s James Kerr was named the CCC Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Kerr, a junior from Burlington, Ont., turned in a strong performance at the Ralph Vernacchia Invitational. He placed third in the 400 meters with a time of 47.83 and finished fourth in the 200 meters with a personal best time of 21.62.
Men’s Outdoor Track & Field – Field Athlete
Lewis-Clark State College’s Perry Severijnse was named the CCC Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Severijnse, a sophomore from Almere, Netherlands, delivered a dominant performance at the Ed Jacoby Twilight. He won the javelin with a mark of 60.68m to reach an NAIA ‘B’ Standard and secure the 12th best mark this season.
Women’s Outdoor Track & Field – Track Athlete
The Evergreen State College’s Madison Palek was named the CCC Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Palek, a sophomore from Camas, Wash., had an outstanding weekend at the Nancy & Norm Berney Classic. She posted a time of 24:53.88 in the 5,000 meter race walk to reach an NAIA ‘A’ Standard.
Women’s Outdoor Track & Field – Field Athlete
University of British Columbia’s Sarah Snell was named the CCC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Snell, a junior from Ogden, Utah, delivered a strong performance at the Ralph Vernacchia Invitational. She placed third in the javelin with a mark of 43.30 meters, hitting the NAIA ‘A’ standard and recording the No. 7 mark in the NAIA this season.
