CRESWELL, Ore. – The Bushnell University women’s golf team concluded the fall season with a fourth-place finish at the Bushnell Fall Invite, which took place at the Emerald Valley Golf Club on Sunday and Monday.
Corban University (328-312—640) won the tournament after trailing Lewis-Clark State (319-324—643) by nine strokes entering the second round. Corban improved by 16 strokes on day two to secure a sizeable comeback over LC State. The College of Idaho (350-363—713) took third, while Bushnell (363-366—729) placed fourth.
Alexandra Schmidt of LC State won the tournament, shooting 71-76—147 (+3).
For the Beacons, Cassidy Krauss led the squad with an 86-85—171 for ninth place. Analise Aubin (86-87—173) finished two strokes behind Krauss to take 10
th. Fernanda Gardea (86-90—176) tied her season-best two-round score to tie for 13
th, while Melody Garcia placed 24
th (105-104—209).
Bushnell will return in the spring, traveling to the Walla Walla Invitational on March 28-29.
