LOGAN, Utah – A school-record performance by Logan Hunt helped The College of Idaho earn an upset win over Division I Utah State to win the Steve Reeder Memorial on the Steve & Donna Reeder Memorial Course.
Hunt broke the C of I 7,000-meter record by 31 seconds (21:29.70) – despite running in muddy conditions, placing third overall in a field of 82 racers, helping the Yotes score 27 team points – tops among all teams. Host USU was second (28), with C of I also competing against Weber State and Westminster College.
The Yotes had all five of their scoring runners in the Top-20 – as Daniel Butler placed 14th (22:03.90), Hayden Bostrom took 17th (22:13.50), Brevin Vaughan took 18th (22:13.80) and Braden Heath was in 20th (22:17.60).
