CORVALLIS, Ore. – The CCC saw its first women’s basketball games play out in the new year on Friday.

Walla Walla University def. Multnomah University, 71-61
Walla Walla University picked up its first conference win of the year with a 71-61 victory over Multnomah University. All five starters for the Wolves scored in double figures with Paulina Quintana leading the charge with 16 points and dishing out seven assists. Dalila Rincan led the Lions with 15 points off the bench.

No. 10 Lewis-Clark State College def. Warner Pacific University, 70-52
No. 10-ranked Lewis-Clark State College made it 13 in a row with a 70-52 victory over Warner Pacific University. Ellie Sander led the Warriors with 20 points and had five assists and four steals. Amalya Sales was the leading scorer for the Knights, finishing with 12 points.

No. 20 Eastern Oregon University def. Northwest University, 85-67
No. 20-ranked Eastern Oregon started the new year with an 85-67 victory over Northwest University. Shaelie Burgess led the Mounties with 14 points (6-for-12) and grabbed nine rebounds and three blocks. Maya DuChesne finished with 17 points for the Eagles on 7-of-14 shooting.

Oregon Tech kept rolling through the new year with its fifth win in a row, downing Corban University 66-53. Olivia Sprague finished with 18 points to lead three Owls in double figures. Holly Golenor posted a double-double for the Warriors with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

No. 23-ranked Southern Oregon University picked up a big 50-43 win over Bushnell University to stay in the second place in the conference standings. Two Raiders finished the night with 11 points, both Brianna Phiakhamngon and Kalei Iwami. Aspen Slifka led all scorers with 13 points and was just one board shy of a double-double with nine rebounds.

College of Idaho held off a late surge from The Evergreen State College to grab a 62-55 victory. Both Riley Frith and Taryn Riley led the Coyotes with 14 points, while Sienna Riggle grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds. Monique Bungay led the Geoducks with 14 points.
