CORVALLIS, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University and College of Idaho tied for first place in the 2024 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Cross Country preseason poll, announced Thursday by the conference office.
Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho each received five first place and 113 points to share the top spot in the preseason poll. Last year the Mounties won the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Cross Country Championship, presented by U.S. Bank. The Yotes went on to lead the CCC at the 2023 NAIA Championship with 208 points for a 6th place finish.
Lewis-Clark State College earned the No. 3 spot with 94 points, the Warriors placed 17th at last year's National Championship. Corban University ranked No. 4 and claimed the final first-place vote with 90 points. Southern Oregon University rounded out the top five with 82 points.
Oregon Tech ranked No. 6 with 60 points followed by Northwest University with 54 points. Bushnell University tallied 42 points while The Evergreen State College had 36 points in the No. 9 spot.
Multnomah (29 points) and Walla Walla University (13 points) completed the CCC teams in the 10th and 11th positions, respectively.
The 2024 CCC Cross Country championships are slated for Nov. 8, hosted by Multnomah in Portland, Oregon.
