(RV) College of Idaho def. Walla Walla University, 95-34
College of Idaho defeated Walla Walla, 95-34 to tip off CCC play. Four Yotes scored in double figures, led by 19 points from Mia Austin, while Maiya Hardy anchored the defense with nine rebounds. C of I shot an impressive 58.5 percent from the field, made 8 of 11 free throws, and piled up 50 points in the paint. The Yotes leaned on their depth with 53 bench points and backed it up defensively with seven blocks, seven steals, and 43 total rebounds. They built their largest lead of the night, 64 points, late in the fourth quarter. Brooklyn Coe paced the Wolves with 14 points.
No. 21-ranked Oregon Tech def. The Evergreen State College, 73-32
Oregon Tech outscored Evergreen State 73-32 to set off the regular season. The Owls dominated the paint with 36 points, converted 9 of 17 free throws, and turned 32 points off turnovers. OIT also pulled down 51 rebounds, collected 12 steals, and held the Geoducks to just 25 percent shooting. The Owls extended their lead to as many as 41 points in the fourth quarter. Brooke Anderson led Oregon Tech with 14 points, while Jozie Ramos grabbed 13 rebounds. Bayleigh Harder paced Evergreen State with 13 points and eight rebounds.
(RV) Southern Oregon University def. Northwest University, 71-36
Southern Oregon earned a 71-36 victory over Northwest to start off the CCC action. The Raiders dominated inside with 32 points in the paint, added 31 points from the bench, and converted 26 points off turnovers while collecting 17 steals. SOU made 6 of 8 free throws and extended their largest lead to 35 points early in the fourth quarter. Both teams grabbed 43 rebounds. Eliza DiGiulio led the Raiders with 12 points. Kaleah Medeiros paced Northwest with eight points.
(RV) Eastern Oregon University def. No. 10-ranked Lewis-Clark State College, 63-52
Eastern Oregon remained undefeated with a 63-52 win over Lewis-Clark State to tip off the conference season.
