McDonald's Player of the Week, Presented by Urban Edge Network

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The following eight Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the McDonald's Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, for their performances during competition from March 2 – 8, 2026.
 
Beach Volleyball – Pair
No. 4-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Molly Grace and Kira Sandoval were named the CCC Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week.

The number two pair recorded three wins in their first CCC matches together. They defeated opponents from No. 2-ranked Corban University (17-21, 21-10, 15-7) and (RV) Bushnell University (21-12, 21-13; 21-17, 22-20).
 
Baseball – Player
Corban University’s Peyton Rickard was named the CCC Baseball Player of the Week.
 
Rickard, a senior from Kennewick, Wash., had an outstanding week on the field for the Warriors. He recorded a .500 batting average and a .722 slugging percentage with nine hits, including a double and homerun. He also added five RBIs and four runs while earning a .550 on base percentage. He held a perfect fielding percentage to round out his impressive week.

Baseball – Pitcher
(RV) University of British Columbia’s Kaden Douglas-Pluff was named the CCC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Kaden Douglas-Pluff, a freshman from North Vancouver, B.C., had a fantastic performance on the mound against Warner Pacific University, leading to an 8-1 victory. He did not allow a hit, walk, or run across 3.1 innings while striking out seven batters for a perfect ERA and WHIP.
 
Softball – Player
No. 2-ranked Eastern Oregon University’s Kelly Monaghan was named the CCC Softball Player of the Week.
 
Monaghan, a senior outfielder from Battle Ground, Wash., had an outstanding weekend on the field as the Mounties swept the Beacons. She recorded a .625 batting average and a 1.125 slugging percentage with five hits including a double and homerun. She also added seven RBIs and six runs while earning a .636 on base percentage. She held a perfect fielding percentage to round out her impressive weekend.

Softball – Pitcher
No. 4-ranked Oregon Tech’s Kristine Schmidt was named the CCC Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Schmidt, a junior from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, had a fantastic weekend on the mound for the Owls. She struck out 12 batters in 12 innings, allowing just four hits and no earned runs for a perfect ERA and a 0.65 WHIP.
 
Men’s Golf – Golfer
No. 9-ranked University of British Columbia’s Leighton Wright was named the CCC Men’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Wright (74-70-69 – 213), a freshman from Barrie, Ont., won the individual title at the RMC Intercollegiate. He earned the playoff hole victory, where he birdied after his 2nd shot from 76 yards out landed a foot from the hole. Wright was one of just three golfers to finish the tournament under par with his final round 69 tied for the second lowest single round.

Women’s Golf – Golfer
No. 25-ranked Oregon Tech’s Sydney Dick was named the CCC Women’s Golfer of the Week.

Dick (76-73-82 – 231), a sophomore from Clovis, Calif., earned third place at the RCA Electric Invite against all NCAA Dll opponents. Her second round bogey was the lowest of the tournament.
