CORVALLIS, Ore. –
The following nine Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the CCC Players of the Week for their performances during competition from August 31 – September 6, 2026.
Men’s Cross Country – Runner
No. 7-ranked College of Idaho’s Isaac Anttonen was named the CCC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Anttonen, a junior from Boise, Idaho, had an outstanding run to set off the season at the Linfield Harrier Classic. He completed the 6K in 18:17.4, finishing in sixth place out of 101 total runners, just behind D1 competition.
Women’s Cross Country – Runner
No. 21-ranked Lewis-Clark State’s Damaris Kibiwot was named the CCC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Kibiwot, a junior from Eldoret, Kenya, helped lead the Warriors to a team victory at the Lewis & Clark XC Opener to set off the season. She won the 5K with a time of 18:09.8 against 45 total runners.
Men’s Soccer – Defensive Player
Oregon Tech’s Noah Harwood was named the CCC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Harwood, a freshman goalkeeper from Portland, Ore., helped lead the Owls to two shutout victories over Arizona Christian University and The Master’s University. He played the full 90 minutes in both contests, recording eight saves to preserve the clean sheets and help OIT remain unbeaten on the weekend.
Men’s Soccer – Offensive Player
Bushnell University’s Joan Remo Morales was named the CCC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Remo Morales, a junior forward from Alcudia, Spain, guided the Beacons to three wins to remain undefeated when kicking off the soccer season. His weekend was highlighted by a hat trick against Lincoln University.
Women’s Soccer – Defensive Player
(RV) Southern Oregon University’s Ashlyn Fuss was named the CCC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Fuss, a freshman goalkeeper from Boise, Idaho, helped the Raiders remain undefeated on the season. She played 126 minutes across three matches, recording 22 saves while allowing just one goal for an outstanding .957 save percentage.
Women’s Soccer – Offensive Player
(RV) Southern Oregon University’s Ava Johnson was named the CCC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Johnson, a junior forward from West Sacramento, Calif., helped the Raiders remain undefeated on the week. She scored three goals and added an assist across three matches.
Volleyball – Attacker
No. 18-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Tessa Zimmermann was named the CCC Attacker of the Week.
Zimmermann, a senior middle blocker from Albany, Ore., delivered a stellar weekend for SOU. She totaled 32 kills (3.20 k/s) for an impressive .537 attack percentage. She also added nine blocks and two digs to help the Raiders set off the CCC season with two five set victories against Walla Walla University and No. 12-ranked Lewis-Clark State.
Volleyball – Defender
(RV) Bushnell University’s Soleil Sands was named the CCC Defender of the Week.
Sands, a senior middle blocker from Vacaville, Calif., powered the Beacons to wins over No. 4-ranked Corban University (3-0) and Warner Pacific University (3-1). She tallied 16 kills on a .483 hitting percentage while adding 12 blocks during the conference openers.
Volleyball – Setter
(RV) Bushnell University’s Emma Fa'alogo was named the CCC Setter of the Week.
Fa'alogo, a senior setter from Harbor City, Calif., set the Beacons off to two victories to open the conference season. She recorded 34 assists (4.86 a/s) and 22 digs (3.14 d/s) in wins over No. 4-ranked Corban University (3-0) and Warner Pacific University (3-1).
