CORVALLIS, Ore. – University of Providence claimed the top spot in the 2024-25 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Wrestling Preseason Poll, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Providence picked up five first-place votes and 95 total points to land first in the coaches’ poll. Last season they were the runners-up at the 2024 CCC Men’s Wrestling Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank. At the 2024 NAIA Championship, the Argos finished in 8th with two All-Americans.
Southern Oregon University came in close behind with five first-place votes of its own and 89 total points to sit second in the poll. The Raiders came in 4th at the CCC Tournament and completed the national championship in 11th place with three All-Americans.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University followed with 75 points for a third-place ranking. The Eagles finished 3rd at the conference tournament and 14th at nationals with two All-Americans.
Eastern Oregon University came in fourth with 64 points. The Mounties came in sixth at the CCC tournament and 12th at the NAIA Championship with a National Champion and an All-American.
Corban University (62 points), Montana State University-Northern (58 points), Arizona Christian University (39 points), and Simpson University (32 points) filled in the five through eight spots in the poll, respectively.
Westcliff University’s new program received 18 points while The Evergreen State College found itself rounding out the coaches’ poll in 10th place with 15 points.
The 2025 CCC Men’s Wrestling Tournament is set for Feb. 21-22, hosted by Simpson in Redding, California. Automatic berths to the NAIA national championship are awarded to the top finishers in each weight class. Additional qualifier allocations will be released by the national office succeeding all NAIA conference tournaments. The 2025 NAIA Men’s Wrestling Championship will take place on March 6 - 8 in Park City, Kansas.
