CORVALLIS, Ore. – Two teams will battle it out for the 2021-22 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, and Danny Miles Trophy. Top-seeded College of Idaho hosts fifth-seeded Southern Oregon University for the trophy at 7 p.m. Mountain.

As the regular-season champion, the No. 9-ranked Coyotes earned the CCC's first automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament. If the Coyotes win the tournament title, the CCC’s second AQ will be awarded to second-seeded Oregon Tech.

College of Idaho opened the tournament with a 99-65 routing of Multnomah University. The Coyote bench outscored the Lion reserves 58-0 as Charles Elzie led the Yotes with a career-high 19 points.
The Coyotes kept rolling and grabbed a 97-65 victory over Warner Pacific University in the semifinals to lock in their spot in the tournament final. It was its third-straight 30-point victory as Ricardo Time scored a game-high 23 points to help the Coyotes advance to their fourth-straight CCC Tournament title game.
SOU has been clawing its way into the finale after posting two upset victories to secure a spot in the title game. The Raiders opened the tournament with a 67-65 victory over Corban University. Tez Allen paced the Raider offense with 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting.
In the semifinals, the Raiders once again dug deep and grabbed a one-point victory, 67-66, over third-seeded Lewis-Clark State College. With less than a second left on the clock, Allen tossed up a tough three-pointer, banked it off the backboard and into the net to lift the Raiders. Allen finished with a game-high 15 points and was one rebound shy of a double-double.
Tuesday's game is the eighth postseason meeting between the Coyotes and Raiders, with C of I holding a 5-2 series edge.
During the regular-season, the Yotes picked up the series sweep with a 66-49 victory at SOU back in December and a 97-47 win in January in Caldwell, Idaho.
