CALDWELL, Idaho – The College of Idaho Yotes lit up the second half to claim an 84–65 victory over Carroll College in Friday night action at the Domino's Classic at J.A. Albertson Activities Center.
Despite leading by just three at halftime, 31–28, the Yotes (3–1) surged out of the break, shooting an impressive 53.8% from the field in the second half to secure the win. Senior guard Johnny Radford spearheaded the offensive effort, tallying 20 points, including six three-pointers, while Drew Wyman contributed a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Carroll (3–5) was led by Isaiah Moore, who scored 15 points, and James Lang, who added 15 points and six made free throws. However, the Fighting Saints struggled with turnovers and second-chance points, allowing the Yotes to capitalize and extend their lead.
Momentum shifted dramatically midway through the second half as electrifying plays by Tyler Robinett, including two crowd-pleasing dunks set up by Samaje Morgan, fueled the Yotes' energy. Morgan finished with a game-high four assists to complement his eight points.
The Yotes outperformed Carroll in nearly every statistical category, dominating the glass with a 40–31 rebounding edge and netting 16 points off turnovers compared to Carroll's six.
College of Idaho will look to build on this win as they continue the Domino's Classic tomorrow, facing Embry Riddle on Saturday night for Idaho Appreciation Night and Native American Heritage Appreciation Night.
