CCC Men’s Basketball Quarterfinals Scoreboard 2.28.24

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Four teams remain standing after the quarterfinals of the 2023-24 CCC Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank.

No. 1 seed College of Idaho def. No. 8 seed Northwest University, 103-60
No. 3-ranked College of Idaho defeated Northwest for the third time this season by a final score of 103-60. This marked C of I's 22nd straight win and its 18th consecutive in the CCC Tournament. The Yotes produced another all around joint effort with five players reaching double-figures, led by Samaje Morgan's 17 points while Jake O'Neil made a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. C of I recorded 58 points in the paint, 49 rebounds, and and shot 54.1 percent from the field. The Eagles were paced by a game-high of 20 points by Miciah Hagan in their final game of the season. College of Idaho advanced to host No. 4 seed Southern Oregon in the semifinals.

No. 2 seed Lewis-Clark State College def. No. 7 seed Eastern Oregon University, 74-69
(RV) Lewis-Clark State outscored Eastern Oregon by a final score of 74-69 for the third time this season. LC State had five athletes reach double-figures, with Alton Hamilton, Jaedon Bradley, and Sam Stockton all recording 13 points each. The Warriors made a 53.2 field goal percentage and 16-of-18 free throws while never letting up the lead. The Mounties were paced by a game-high 22 points by Garrett Hawkes in their final game of the season. LCSC advanced to host No. 3 seed Oregon Tech in the semifinals.

No. 3 seed Oregon Tech def. No. 6 Bushnell University, 78-57
No. 17-ranked Oregon Tech managed a 96-93 victory over Bushnell in its closest matchup of the season. OIT tallied 46 points in the paint, 43 rebounds, and outscored in both halves. Six Owls reached double-figures with Kam Osborn, Blake Jensen and Cooper Jackson all making 17 points. Jamison Guerra converted a go-ahead 3-point play with six seconds remaining. It was not an easy defeat as the Beacons erased a 10 point deficit, tying the game with just 33 seconds left. Kaden Sand ended the Beacons season with an impressive double-double of 35 points and 10 rebounds. OIT will head to face No. 2 seed LC State in the Semifinals. The Warriors swept the Owls in regular season play.

No. 4 seed Southern Oregon University def. No. 5 seed Corban University, 88-60
Southern Oregon won against Corban with a final score of 88-60. SOU never let up the lead and held Corban to 23 points in the first half and hit 10-of-16 3-point attempts in the second to run away with the lead. Southern Oregon recorded 23 assists and shot above 51 percent in all three shooting categories. It was a combined team effort with 35 bench points and five Raiders reaching double-figures, led by 19 points from Casson Rouse. The Warriors were paced by 15 points from Collin Warmouth in their final game of the season. Southern Oregon will now head to face the No. 1 seed College of Idaho in the Semifinals. SOU gave C of I its only conference loss in the first game of the CCC season.
