RV Lewis-Clark State College def. Warner Pacific University, 88-78
Lewis-Clark State fended off Warner Pacific 88-78. LC State shot 61.1 percent from the field, grabbed 33 rebounds, and dished out 17 assists. The Warriors were led by a standout double-double by John Lustig of 28 points and 13 rebounds. Warner Pacific shot 47.8 percent from the three-point line and went 15-17 from the stripe. The Knights were paced by Chad Napoleon with 26 points.
Eastern Oregon def. The Evergreen State College, 105-80
Eastern Oregon broke into triple digits to defeat Evergreen State 105-80. EOU shot 60.0 percent from the field, controlled the game offensively with five players in double digits, 58 points in the paint, and added 43 rebounds and 22 assists. Porter Abrams, with a strong double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Eamon Monahan’s 22 points, four blocks, and two steals led the way for the Mountaineers. The Geoducks went 11-15 from the free-throw line, paced by Tony Frohlich-Fair with 29 points.
College of Idaho def. Northwest University, 78-73.
College of Idaho survived Northwest 78-73. Both teams recorded 12 assists. C of I controlled the box with 43 rebounds, 40 points in the paint, and added nine steals. Offensively, the Yotes had five players score in double digits and saw their largest lead of 10 in the second half at 1:36. Dougie Peoples led the way with 16 points, and right behind was Tucker Tidden with a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds. NU came out firing and was up at the half by one, 40-39. The Eagles battled offensively, shooting 42.6 percent from the field and going 13-17 from the line, with 34 points off the bench. Northwest was paced by Ethan Martin with 18 points.
Southern Oregon University def. Bushnell University, 78-65
Southern Oregon earned a 78-65 win over Bushnell. Both teams battled in the paint with 34 points. A strong first half, 38-23, allowed SOU to fend off a second-half surge by the Beacons, 42-40. The Raiders shot 51.7 percent from the field, tacked on 11 three-pointers, and recorded 34 rebounds and 18 assists. Gio Evanson led the way with five players in double digits with 18 points. BU shot 75.0 percent from the free-throw line, paced by Kaleb Burnett with 17 points and Cory Johnson right behind with 16 points and seven rebounds.
Corban University def. No. 21-ranked Oregon Tech, 90-70
Corban pulled off a 90-70 upset over Oregon Tech. CRB shot 61.7 percent from the field, had 56 points in the paint, had 14 steals, and had four players score in double digits. The Warriors were led by Tj Zimmerman with 20 points. OIT outrebounded 35-34, paced by Dakota Reber with a game high of 23 points and eight rebounds. Both teams recorded 14 assists each.
